Fire action photography depicts the dangers to firefighters and also those who capture the action. Wayne Tomblinson of Keene, Texas has his camera in his car, scanner radio on all day and is ready to “roll” at any time of day or night. Just like the firefighters he photographs. In this house fire, firefighters conduct a search as the fire begins to spread across the ceiling before enveloping the room. The flames created the “main” lighting for the photo and Wayne used his electronic flash (see reflection on silver stripes on turnout coats) for additional detail.
